About this work
The same green and the same thought as Chaos, and the same rule, which is that the grain decides and I follow it. What is different is that here an order has been built out of the chaos, because that is what we do with our own thinking. We make it mean something.
From across the room this is just something green. So is most of a life, seen from far enough away, vague and repetitive and much like the day before.
Come closer and the layers are all there, and always were. They only show themselves to somebody who stops.
The Now series is the way in to the next body of work, which is about addiction, and which will be here before long.

New work, before it goes public
A few times a year I send out new pieces before anyone else sees them, along with exhibition dates and the occasional note from the workbench. Nothing more often than that, and you can leave whenever you like.
