About this work
Green in every shade it has. At certain angles the light pulls a yellow out of it, but the panel is green, and in the Now series green is thought, the mind before anything has been done to it.
In this series I do not decide the pattern. The grain decides. I follow what the wood has already written and I put into it whichever moment of my own life I happen to be in while I am cutting.
Every moment of being present starts here, in the churn, because everything does.
The Now series is the way in to the next body of work, which is about addiction, and which will be here before long.

New work, before it goes public
A few times a year I send out new pieces before anyone else sees them, along with exhibition dates and the occasional note from the workbench. Nothing more often than that, and you can leave whenever you like.
