About this work
A vaulted passage in amber and ochre, with a stair climbing towards an arch at the far end, and behind that arch another one.
I do not believe inner strength is something you are born with. It is learned. You practise, you try, it does not work, you improve, and each time you unlock one door and find another one behind it. What this piece asks is that you do it consciously, because none of it happens on its own.
Above the arch a mass of dark figured walnut opens out, mirrored against itself. It guards whatever is at the end of the passage, and it is the reason the climb is worth making.

New work, before it goes public
A few times a year I send out new pieces before anyone else sees them, along with exhibition dates and the occasional note from the workbench. Nothing more often than that, and you can leave whenever you like.
