About this work
Two curtains of figured eucalyptus draw back from a centre of burr, and that centre is the still point the whole panel breathes around.
Scattered across the surface there are small squares of darker veneer. Those are ideas, the kind that arrive out of nowhere while you are not chasing anything, because that is the only time they ever arrive.
Everything starts with a breath. Every change, every improvement, every idea in this panel. So the work asks very little of you, only that you stop, be here now, and breathe.

New work, before it goes public
A few times a year I send out new pieces before anyone else sees them, along with exhibition dates and the occasional note from the workbench. Nothing more often than that, and you can leave whenever you like.
